1081.0 ACAR Application
ACAR conductors are used for overhead distribution and transmission lines requiring all aluminum conductors, but requiring higher strength and longer spans than what is capable with AAC conductors.A good strength-to-weight ratio makes ACAR applicable where both ampacity and strength are prime considerations in line design.
